Digitron Translift specialise in the supply and project management of turnkey automated material handling systems mainly for the car industry using a combination of proprietary and in-house equipment. Our design engineers and contract design engineers will work closely with our client's engineers to provide solutions tailored to fit precisely their requirements.

DDC worked for us as contract design engineers. They worked on a project at Ford Motor Company Southampton to modify the route of an existing engine overhead monorail system. The work involved meetings with client, surveying the existing equipment and then producing layouts, arrangements and details of the modifications to the roof steelwork, track, under guarding, drop sections and services.

The modifications were carried out during the summer shutdown and DDC Engineering Solutions was employed throughout the shutdown period to supervise the site labour. Being on site provided the added bonus of being able to resolve any installation, manufacture or design errors immediately. The installation was completed on time and production resumed after shutdown.

Throughout the time DDC worked for Digitron Translift they worked from their offices in Wolverhampton keeping in touch by telephone, fax and email. They quickly familiarised themselves with our office procedures and had no difficulty in communicating and working with others. They worked conscientiously, followed instructions and worked quickly and accurately with the minimum of supervision.

Goodrich Engine Control and Electrical Power Systems Site located at Marston Green, Birmingham are involved in the overhaul and repair of the mechanical and electronic aerospace fuel control systems. The site is maintained by the facilities department which has responsibility for production assets, test facilities and infrastructure.

DDC Engineering Solutions have been working for several years carrying out full site surveys, including service distribution, plant layout and HS&E drawings. They also maintain these drawings to encompass any changes on site.

Following site surveys all drawing work is carried out at DDC's offices and presented to Goodrich in the format we require. The work is completed accurately, on time and to agreed costs. DDC's personnel work alongside Goodrich engineers professionally and courteously at all times.
